I love how different effects can totally change the feel of a picture…

I love how this one turned out in black and white… His eyes are delightful.

But I also like how vibrant it is in color…

Photoshop is magic people.  Magic.

I love this one in the faded seventies look…

Kd 70s

Which of these do you think conveys just how cold it was?

It was a very balmy 3° F (-16° C) the day I took these pictures… a warm front had come in bringing the temperature up to a level that we consider safe for playing outside for more than 3 minutes at a time.  Speaking of which, we are very excited for Christmas day as it is apparently supposed to warm up to -10° (C) so we may actually be able to do some sledding or ice skating even!  It’s been downright miserable for many days now and we are getting rather stir crazy.  And eating lots of soup.

  1. I love the photos.. how did you do the last one? and my favorite is the B&W

  2. The colored shot- conveys the cold- in his wind bruned cheeks and the ice crystals glistening on his hat- the B&W captures his little boy charm- the twinkle in his eyes – the faded 70’s just makes for a beautiful photograph.

  3. the first color shot shows the cold the best. you can see the red in his cheeks, and the crack in his lip.

    They’re all great though!
